Rachelle Lefevre No Longer Victoria

A Modern Cinderella Posted by A Modern Cinderella at 10:25 PM on July 29, 2009

As many people have learned today, Rachelle Lefevre will not be reprising her role of Victoria in Eclipse. This is all due to scheduling conflicts. What may surprise many is that not only were we the fans shocked to find out Rachelle would be replaced but so was Rachelle herself. Lefevre tells Access Hollywood that she was sad to not be able to finish her portrayal of Victoria but is grateful for all the support from fans. Here is part of her interview:

“I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.”

Feel free to comment on what you think about Rachelle's confession.
