A Modern Cinderella

A few days ago Stephenie posted on her website about an author that has released a new book. She is Elizabeth Eulberg. Here is what Steph said:

I hope you all are enjoying your holidays! Just a quick update about a book—arriving in bookstores tomorrow!—that I'm very excited about: The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg. If you've ever been out to one of my signings, chances are you've already met this debut author. If you haven't, but you've read the acknowledgements in any of my books, you've been introduced to her there. Elizabeth has been the publicist for my books from the very beginning, and has (clearly) done an amazing job. She's also worked with scads of other YA authors. Now her own YA novel is coming out and I'm so proud of her. Well done, Lizzy! I look forward to reading more from you soon!

Ok, just a quick update on the rumor that has been circulating about our beloved author being dead. It is FALSE!!! Stephenie had her brother update her website to address that she is ALIVE and WELL. Folks don't believe everything you read and as for the media and person responsible for the rumor next time check your sources!!

According to Box Office Mojo, New Moon has gained an estimated $72 million just on it's opening day! That's more than double on what Twilight got on opening day. 

New Moon's $72.7 million first day included an estimated $26.3 million from its midnight opening, which was also a record. The Dark Knight made $18.5 million on its midnight opening, which means it generated more business after its midnight showings ($48.7 million) than New Moon did ($46.4 million). The Dark Knight still holds the record for biggest weekend (Friday-Saturday-Sunday) ever: $158.4 million.

They have also estimated the weekend gross for New Moon and it is estimated to have made $140,700,000. It is at the number one spot for this weekend box office.

More snarky Anna Kendrick!

Besides giving Bella her very first brush with danger, the biker scene serves another purpose: letting Anna Kendrick shine. As Jessica, Kendrick once again steals every scene she's in, and Bella's foolish biker episode gives her some of her very best frenemy lines of dialogue. Bonus: Kendrick's blissfully ignorant snark attack on zombie movies.

Jacob and Bella almost kiss. Twice!

New Moon is Jacob's movie, so Rosenberg rewards him with not one, but two almost-kisses. If you look closely, their lips ACTUALLY TOUCH the second time!
